JOE RYAN

VICE PRESIDENT, GCE SERVICES

Joe is the Vice President of GCE Services, overseeing the Energy Management, Retro-commissioning, Construction Management and Green Certifications side of the business. Joe started working for Green Coast Enterprises in 2013 and has over 25 years of experience working in the renewable energy and energy efficiency industry.

Previously, Joe worked for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) as a senior engineer in the Buildings Program. Joe led the design and implementation of experiments and research on advanced cooling technologies, including energy recovery ventilators, desiccant dehumidifiers and evaporative cooling. Additionally, Joe worked as a consultant to NREL on energy efficiency projects in New Orleans and Liquid Desiccant Air Conditioning monitoring projects around the country. Joe started his professional career working at De La Salle High School in New Orleans as a math teacher and soccer coach.

Joe holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a B.S. & A. in Math and Philosophy from Regis College in Denver, CO. Joe was born and raised in New Orleans and spends his free time playing soccer, sailing on Lake Pontchartrain, riding his bike, fishing in the marshes and off the coast of SE Louisiana and perfecting the art of making gumbo.

Joe holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a B.S. & A. in Math and Philosophy from Regis College. Joe lives in New Orleans.
